Lendrick Muir to host Soul Survivor Scotland

Calling all young people and youth leaders - great news! We're delighted to announce that our Lendrick Muir centre near Kinross is to host Soul Survivor Scotland next summer.

For richer for poorer

I wonder whether you find it easiest to maintain a conversation with God when you are in need or plenty? I suspect that most of us are in fairly frequent communication with our heavenly father when we need something or are in a tough situation but are somewhat quiet the rest of the time.

That is all

I am sitting trying to think of something suitably inspiring to write… and I can’t! It kind of says it all, doesn’t it? The more I think about creation, the more it turns my brain inside out. My 11 year old son loves to talk about the possibilities of the multiverse (or meta-universe) but I can’t even get my head around one – let alone infinite possibilities!

Just do it

I ventured on an SU camp for the first time along with my three children. None of us had been to an SU camp before but we had heard rave reviews and we were all keen to go see what it was like. We had a whale of a time!

Justice

Often we’re a bit uncomfortable with a picture of an angry and vengeful God. We skip past the pages of the Old Testament where great violence seems to be meted out in God’s name. But the reality is that God is a God of justice as well as mercy. It’s intrinsic in his character.

An amazing experience

This July I spent just over two weeks in Ukraine with the most lovely people from Ukraine, Armenia, Tajikistan, Russia, England and Scotland! We were split into small international teams and went out into towns across Kiev and ran a children’s holiday club.

Grief beyond bearing

I am thankful that in my adult life, I have not had too many episodes where I could really identify with the essence of this Psalm. I can remember my teenage years matching up much more readily, however! In my work with teenagers and young adults, I am often floored by the level of pain and grief that they bear.
