Prayer is an expression of our key values here in SU Scotland - dependence on God and deepening relationships.

We are so grateful for those who pray with us and for us. We desperately need people to intercede for this current generation of children and young people.. Find out here how you can get involved. For more information, click on WAYS TO PRAY on the sidebar.

Praying daily or monthly

To help you pray in an informed way for SU Scotland's ministry we provide both daily and monthly prayer points. Sign up using the "Get our mailings" button at the foot of this page. Visit here for further info and for help to get them on your phone.

Praying regionally

We provide opportunities for local fellowship and prayer. Check out our monthly Regional Prayer Gatherings on our Events Page - if your local one doesn't suit timewise, feel free to join another! If none shows for your region, email to find out if one exists.

Praying for your school

Pray for Schools Scotland seeks to mobilise prayer for schools, with the vision of seeing EVERY school in Scotland becoming a prayed-for school. Find out more and register your prayers for local schools...

Praying nationally

Our January Day of Prayer and our June Zoom Prayer for Summer Events evening bring prayer supporters together from across the whole of Scotland to pray for children, young people and SU ministry.

Prayer hotline

We operate a prayer hotline to cover Holidays & Missions during Easter, summer and October. Sign up to receive event prayer letters and emails with urgent prayer needs as they arise.

Praying in church - Back to School with God

Back to School with God all-age service held in church on a Sunday at the start of a new school year provides an opportunity to pray for children, young people and school staff at this important milestone for them as well as inspiring the whole church family towards ongoing prayer for children, young people and school staff. Find out more!

Praying Internationally

SU Scotland is in partnership with SU movements in Ukraine and Belarus. We have had a relationship with SU Rwanda for many years through Respond Rwanda mission trips as well as longstanding friendships with SU India and a restricted country in Asia.

Here are 5 different ways we can support other SU movements in prayer:

  1. Visit our Mailings Page to request News from SU International or News from SU India either by email or post, or occasional News about Open Bible, Ukraine
  2. SU International produces a Global Prayer News which gives daily prayer points for a different country in the following calendar month. This can be requested from their website.
  3. SU Scotland Monthly Prayer Updates feature key prayer needs for the following month both at home and overseas. Subscribe through our Mailings Page.
  4. SU Scotland supporters the SU Global Week of Prayer which is held in the second week of November. Check out our Events Page for details of prayer gatherings that you can join in.
  5. If you use the PrayerMate app, search out SU International and subscribe to their feed.
