Martyn is an experienced purpose-driven leader, passionate about enabling organizations to prepare for, and adapt to, the biggest challenges of our time. He currently leads Resilience First, the leading global business-led membership network driving business resilience at scale through its network of members, affiliated organizations and partners.
Prior to this Martyn spent 11 years at the global engineering giant Wood Plc, where he was the Chief Strategy Officer, responsible for corporate strategy, organizational design and leading the pivot towards the energy transition and decarbonization. Martyn is a scientist by training and has two degrees from Edinburgh University. He started his career at the leading consulting company, Wood Mackenzie where he focused on corporate strategy and competitive intelligence.
Martyn is a co-founder of The Business Connection, which seeks to provide a safe place where people can be encouraged, equipped, and empowered to endure the stresses of professional business life. Martyn lives near Dundee and is married to Gladys, with whom he has three teenage children.
