  • Contract: 15 hours per week/substantive
  • Salary: £8,954 per annum (£22,386 per annum, pro-rated for part time) plus generous pension scheme, annual leave, Employee Assistance Programme and other benefits

Scripture Union Scotland is a national charity, with around 100 staff and over 2,000 volunteers. Our vision is to see every child and young person of Scotland exploring the Bible and responding to the significance of Jesus.

We currently have a vacancy for a part time Administrator to provide key administrative support to 4 of our Regional Workers in our North Team.

PURPOSE

To provide high quality administrative support to the Regional Workers in the North Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Providing administrative support for Regional workers as required, including the use of CRM
  2. Handling enquiries by phone, email and in person including those regarding our Christian ministry, being able to explain these to parents, teachers, young people etc.
  3. Generating regular newsletters for the regional workers
  4. Creating publicity material for events and residentials

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking applicants with strong administrative and relational skills, who enjoy working across a variety of workstreams simultaneously and who are committed to excellence in supporting the vision and ministry of SU Scotland. Applicants for this post should ideally have some previous experience working in an administrative role.

For this post, it is important that you are committed to SU Scotland’s ethos, working principles and vision and can demonstrate this through your commitment and motivation. It is also an Occupational Requirement (Equality Act - part 1, schedule 9), that the post-holder is a committed Christian.
