The BUSY Project
BUSY exists to help all young people thrive and find hope at the heart of a community that values them. Our mission is to share the gospel with young people, giving them the opportunity to discover the hope, purpose and new life found in Jesus. We aim to create safe, welcoming spaces where young people can build positive relationships, grow in confidence, develop new skills and explore faith.
Our regular activities include a Thursday lunchtime drop-in and a Wednesday lunchtime SU Group at Broxburn Academy, a Friday Youth Club at Uphall South Church, and a group exploring faith at the Open Door in Uphall. We also work in partnership with schools to deliver leadership and wellbeing groups as part of pupils’ curriculum, helping young people develop confidence, resilience, teamwork and practical life skills.
During the school holidays, BUSY organises holiday clubs, special events, trips, outings and residential breaks. Our activities take place across Uphall and Broxburn and are open to young people from P7 and above. Through all of our work, we want young people to feel known, supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.
