Go Conference

  4. Go Conference
The Go Conference is SU Scotland’s national youth conference for S4-S6 pupils who want to grow in their relationship with God and understand how the Bible shapes all areas of life – home, school and friendships.

Explore

At this year’s event, we will be exploring one of Jesus’ most famous teachings: the Sermon on the Mount. We’ll be diving into Matthew chapters 5–7, looking at some of the key themes in the passage and taking time to reflect on what they mean for each of us in our current situations.

Respond

The Sermon on the Mount isn’t just a nice collection of teachings… it’s a radical call to live differently. It’s Jesus stepping into a broken world and showing what life in God’s Kingdom really looks like, upside-down, counter-cultural, and full of purpose. From loving your enemies to living with true integrity, Jesus is inviting a new generation to stand out, not blend in.

So, what does it actually mean to be “salt and light” in 2026? What does it look like to choose God’s way when everything around you pulls you in the other direction? And how can you build your life on something that truly lasts?

Come to GO Conference and respond to the call Jesus is placing on your generation—step into a life that’s bold, different, and rooted in Him.

Flourish

Go Conference is more than just an event, it’s a chance to level up your faith and head home ready to live it out for real. Whether you’re at school, at home, or with your friends, this is about growing as a disciple of Jesus in everyday life.

We’ll hang out, hear your stories, and explore what could actually change where you live. No pressure, just real conversations, fresh ideas, and the chance to be part of something bigger.

Where & When

Go Conference takes place at Scripture Union Scotland’s Lendrick Muir Centre near Kinross from Friday 9th through to Monday 12th October 2026.

Most Scottish schools are off this weekend. If yours isn’t, we’re happy to provide a letter about the GO Conference asking if they will let you attend.

A good public bus service connects northern Scotland to Kinross Park and Ride where participants will be met and taken to Lendrick Muir. Alternatively, a coach will run from Glasgow and Edinburgh to Lendrick Muir for an additional cost of £25.

Speaker Information

We are delighted to have Al MacInnes as our speaker at this year’s event.

Here is a bit more information about him:
Al MacInnes became a Christian at the age of 10 after listening to an old evangelist’s testimony on a cassette tape. He has been involved in ministry for around 30 years, serving full-time since 2015, and is now the pastor of Dornoch Free Church. Before entering ministry, he worked as an artist and graphic designer.

Al has been married for 25 years, has two kids, and a very smelly dog. He enjoys trail running—but tends to run on coffee and BBQ. Over time, he has come to see that following Jesus is not about being useful to him, but about depending on him—and finding that he is enough.

Cost

The event costs around £125 and includes everything except the optional additional travel cost.

Places go very quickly for this event, so be sure to book soon!
