EASTER SCHOOLS RESOURCES
WATCH & DOWNLOAD EACH LESSON
This primary Religious and Moral Education resource from Scripture Union uses the 2025 film The King of Kings to support learning about Christianity through the Easter story. Pupils explore key Christian beliefs about Jesus’ life, death and resurrection, alongside values such as forgiveness, sacrifice, hope and new life. The lessons promote curiosity, respectful understanding and personal reflection while encouraging questioning about the historical figure of Jesus and Christian traditions at Easter. Through discussion, debate and collaborative activities, learners develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills and opportunities to form and express their own beliefs.

These Easter assemblies help pupils explore why Easter is the most important festival for Christians. Through storytelling, reflection and short film clips, the outlines introduce the key events of The Last Supper and The Cross - and explain what Christians believe these events mean.
The assembly encourages pupils to think about themes such as hope, forgiveness, sacrifice and new life, and to consider how beliefs can influence the way people understand the world and their place within it.
