Children and Family Worker | Brisbane Evangelical Church

  • Location: Largs, North Ayrshire
  • Salary: £30,000 plus 6% pension contribution
  • Hours: 37 hours per week
  • Application Deadline: 12th January 2026
  • Interview Date: 30th January 2026

Brisbane Evangelical Church situated in North Ayrshire is a church with a real heart for being salt and light in our community. Our demographic is a church of around 100 people from various church traditions. At the heart of our Vision is to see people of all ages come to faith in Jesus and to help them grow in that faith.

In light of this we are seeking a warm, committed Christian to lead and grow our ministry with children, young people, and families. The role involves planning and leading programmes, supporting volunteers, engaging with families, and partnering with Scripture Union Scotland, to help us reach our local community. We’re looking for someone relational, organised, and passionate about sharing Jesus with the next generation.

Purpose of the Role

The Children and Family Worker will help lead, develop, and grow the church’s ministry among children and young people and their families. This person will work to nurture children’s faith in Jesus Christ and strengthen the church’s engagement with families in the wider community.

This is a missional and relational role — focused on building strong connections, fostering spiritual growth, and creating safe, joyful, and faith-filled environments for children, young people and their families.
