  • Salary: £6,420 per annum pro rata (£25,676 per annum FTE)
  • Hours: Part Time - 10 hrs week
  • Contract: 1 years fixed term (extendable with funding)

  • Location: Home / Occasionally Wheel Trust Office, Partick Trinity Church

Who We Are

The Wheel Trust is a partnership between Scripture Union and local churches in the West End of Glasgow. Our Vision is to help young people of school age in Glasgow to explore and experience the Christian faith

We are seeking an enthusiastic administrator to enable the smooth running of the Wheel Trust and act as a hub of communication between our staff, Volunteers, supporters and partners.

Purpose

Overseeing the general administration for the Trust

Key Responsibilities

  • support Youth workers in their day to day admin
  • support Youth workers in admin of school projects including Flourish
  • supporting Youth Workers to manage bi-yearly Primary workshops
  • supporting Youth workers to administer annual summer camp
  • weekly basic book keeping functions including Xero /Bank reconciliations
  • taking the minutes at the quarterly Management Committee meetings
  • support Management team to produce quarterly finance report
  • coordinating annual Gift Aid requirements with accountant

 

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking applicants with experience and proven track record in excellent communication skills in a variety of media, including telephone, written and inter-personal. Applicants for this post must be able to relate with and communicate effectively with a wide range of staff and volunteers. Strong organisational and administrative skills are essential.

For this post, it is important that you are committed to SU Scotland’s ethos, working principles and vision and can demonstrate this through your commitment and motivation. It is also an Occupational Requirement (Equality Act - part 1, schedule 9), that the post-holder is a committed Christian.

The appointment will be subject to a satisfactory PVG Scheme Disclosure.
