For some in SU Scotland, summer means holidays and missions galore. For the communications team, it mostly means getting our wellie boots on and wading into the fray (and often mud!) at exhibitions.
Our team criss-cross the country each year attending events like the Keswick Convention, Heart & Soul and Soul Survivor Scotland. These provide a great opportunity to meet our supporters, make new ones, and share stories of what God has been up to through SU Scotland. On an average day at an exhibition, you might find us dressed up as Ali from Fit for a King, surrounded by a sea of phone charging cables, lugging around a giant inflatable donkey, or simply sharing a conversation with a supporter.
Exhibitions not only give us the chance to put faces to names for many of the people who pray with us, read our magazine, or volunteer in their local area — they’re also a great way to inspire people new to SU Scotland with our vision. We have a big vision, but we can’t do it alone. We need as many people as possible to catch the vision and partner with us in order to see the children and young people of Scotland exploring the Bible and responding to the significance of Jesus.
With so many opportunities available to us, we need your help! Are you passionate about SU Scotland’s ministry? Do you have the gift of the gab? Can you help us tell people about SU Scotland and how they can get involved?
