gap year 2018-19

Hello, my name is Tegan and I am about to start my 2018/19 Gap Year. I am so excited about what God is doing. I’ve chosen to spend the year with SU Scotland because I feel God is calling me to serve Him and to explore my faith. I know there might be parts of the year that are challenging and might take me out of my comfort zone, but I am confident that God will be with me throughout. I hope to grow in faith and confidence and I’m very much looking forward to growing as a leader.

In my spare time, I love to spend time with my incredible group of friends, no matter what we’re doing - shopping, playing board games or at youth fellowship. I love my family caravan holidays and kayaking in the summer. If I’m ever at home(!), I love to bake and decorate cakes and also play the piano.

I’ve opted for a gap:local year, which means I’ll be placed with an SU Scotland Regional Worker. There will be loads to do; I’ll be taking part in SU Groups, planning and leading assemblies and lessons, getting involved in youth events and being part of the leadership team of SU Weekends, Holidays and Missions. I will also be part of an international mission trip to Ukraine - I can’t wait!
