Stephen was introduced to SU while at School in Milngavie as a teenager and went on to attend the sailing camps which were a great help through school, and established a lifetime interest in windsurfing! Stephen is married to Sally who is a primary teacher. They live in Linlithgow and attend Ps and G's Church in Edinburgh. They have 3 boys, aged 19 to 25. Stephen started in civil engineering but is now a Partner in a corporate finance business in Edinburgh which advises Universities and Colleges throughout the UK primarily on funding and capital projects. He is also a Trustee and Chair of Linlithgow Young People’s Project and a Trustee of The Rwanda Partnership which assists a primary school and essential oils business in Rwanda. He is a keen outdoor enthusiast doing whatever the weather allows, but often found on water!
