You’ll often see me on the M80 in my bright yellow Fiat 500! I do lots of assemblies, have the pleasure of supporting our SU Group volunteer leaders (as well as being involved in some groups myself) and get to deliver an amazing programme called Bible Alive as part of RME provision in primary schools.
If you are a pupil at an independent school, have you thought about going along to the SU Group if you don’t already? If there isn’t one, what about starting one up? I’d love to help you!
If you are involved in independent schools work and feel I could support you in any way, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
If you want to support our work in independent schools, you can give in 3 ways:
Prayer: This work doesn’t happen without an enormous underpinning of prayer. You can sign up to receive my prayer news three or four times a year by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also sign up to pray for a particular school through the Pray for Schools Scotland initiative.
Time: Could you volunteer to help run a group in your local independent school? Independent schools are often not thought of as people’s ‘local’ school but they are all local to someone and we would love to be able to offer an SU Group in every school.
Money: All our regional workers are only paid because of the huge generosity of our supporters. It would take 96 people giving £15 a month to make my particular role secure on an ongoing basis. You can download a giving form and specify independent schools west to give to this particular area of ministry.
Thursday 28 May – ‘Thank You’ meal to thank all the volunteers for their efforts with SU groups across the Independent School. To RSVP, email email@example.com before 22 May.
