Regional Worker, West Lothian & Falkirk
It is great to be working for Scripture Union Scotland in West Lothian and Falkirk, right in the heart of the central belt. An area with two associate trusts working alongside us in the diverse towns and villages of this area.

Also there are so many opportunities to further the Good News, we always need more volunteers! If time is too limited to volunteer, you can support the region financially on this page too. The more people involved in volunteering and giving - the more we can do!
Prayer
One of our values at SU Scotland is dependence on God and so we want prayer to be at the centre of what we do. I’d love for you to pray for all that is going on across the area. Here are some things that may help you with that:

Schools
In West Lothian there are 11 Secondary Schools and 67 Primary Schools, whilst in Falkirk there are 8 Secondary Schools and 48 Primary Schools.
Across the area there are excellent SU groups run by fantastic volunteers. Part of my role is to encourage and equip the group leaders as they lead week by week in their local school. We are keen to train more senior pupils to run groups in their own in secondary schools and equip adult volunteers to run many more groups. Could you get involved in leading an SU group? Holidays & Weekends
Each year we have two weekend camps for our area. They both happen at Lendrick Muir, the first takes place in January and the other in May. They always have a great mixture of young people coming along from across the area and are fantastic fun. churches
I am really keen to help churches connect with their local schools. That might be a wee bit of help setting up an SU Group, ideas on how to deliver Religious Observance or connecting at Christmas and Easter using great resources. Local Events
Every year the Encounter event happens at the Inchyra hotel in Grangemouth. It is a national youth prayer event right on our doorsteps! It takes place in March each year.
