Christmas may feel like a distant memory now, but we couldn't let our Christmas Houseparty go by without a mention! We asked Heather to share a few thoughts with us... Christmas Houseparty group

"Come, let us tell of the LORD's greatness; let us exalt his name together." Psalm 34:3

I come to Christmas Houseparty to praise Jesus in the way I like best - with my closest friends, snowing outside and singing our hearts out because Jesus is alive. There is nothing better than hearing the beautiful sound of around 100 teenagers praising God together! It's amazing knowing that even when we come from different backgrounds, upbringings, schools and towns that we can join together in our fellowship with God. Christmas Houseparty is the most relaxed SU Scotland event I go to in the year, yet I still learn a great deal. It encourages me to continue in Christ for another year, helps me build friendships that last longer than most and provides the opportunity to get to know people you have never had the chance to

get to know before. And not forgetting the most important thing of course - the best ceilidh SU Scotland has to offer! If you like the idea of spending a few days of your Christmas holidays away from family and revision then CHP is the place for you. At CHP there is always something to do, whether it's singing along to Hanson (badly), walking next to a gorge, eating cake at Dobbies or worshipping God. It's like having a second Christmas and an early new year all at once and I am so grateful I have at least 2 more years!
