As one gap year ends and another begins I have been looking back and reviewing the last year. I remember sitting down at training this time last year with Calum, Kirsty G, Kirsty M and Mark and telling them that their gap year would fly by; I was met with 4 disbelieving faces. As the year stretched out ahead of them they were facing it with mixed emotions but none of them believed that it would be over so quickly. Gap year 2013-14

Yet, as I sit here thinking about how quickly the year has flown by I am amazed by how much God has done. During their gap year they have all experienced joy, laughter, tears and challenges and through it all God has been at work. It has been a privilege to be part of their journey and I am so impressed by the way that they have faced challenges and grown through them. I could not be prouder of them! They have matured both in their faith and character and I am excited to see what God has in store for them as they move on from their gap year.

Anna Strong Rachael Duff

While we say goodbye to one gap year we have a new one to welcome in as Rachael and Anna embark on their year with SU Scotland. We have had a great two weeks of initial training up at Alltnacriche where we have had fun getting to know each other and preparing for the year ahead. I know it is another year that will fly by, although Rachael and Anna do not believe me on this one yet, but I am also confident that it will be another year where we will see God doing big things in lives of our gap year participants.
