St PetersburgDear friends, I want to share with you how God is continuing to do miracles through the ministry of SU in St Petersburg and Murmanskie Vorota... We had an amazing Easter project. A group of volunteers from St Petersburg prepared a special presentation and together with local Orthodox priest Fr Georgi we held Easter celebrations in a centre for children with special needs and in another centre for homeless children. It was a unique opportunity to speak to the children and staff about Christ as we told the Easter story. We gave the children presents, played games with them, and did our best to make this a particularly happy day.

“I am especially glad that we celebrated not only with the children but also with the staff of the centres... These people really are heroic, they receive such a tiny salary and they give so much love and attention to these wounded children. It was like a family celebration for these children and the staff – God has given SU an amazing gift of love which you bring to people.” Fr Georgi

St PetersburgWe also visited children in their homes, singing Easter hymns and giving food parcels to families who have no money to have a special Easter meal. It was a blessing to see the joy of the children and the tears of happiness in the mothers’ eyes. This Easter Christ rose and brought joy to not only to the hearts of us, the SU volunteers, but also to the hearts of more than 200 children and about 300 adults who were reached by our Easter project.
