Scripture Union Scotland is a registered charity that helps children and young people in Scotland to explore the Bible and respond to the significance of Jesus for their lives. The work focuses mainly on children and young people in the setting of schools, residential events and churches.

This post provides the exciting opportunity to become one of the 4-person Senior Leadership Team of Scripture Union Scotland and to lead the National Ministries Department.

As part of the Senior Leadership Team you will be involved in working collaboratively to direct the work of an established but growing organisation with work across Scotland as well as international connections.

We require someone who can further develop an already established work across Scotland. The work is built on a team of staff, volunteers and young people who carry the vision of SU within Scotland’s schools and also on flourishing partnerships with local churches in community-based missions. Key role aims are to equip and support this team, helping them grow as disciples of Jesus Christ, and to extend our partnerships so that more of the present opportunities can be grasped and the work can grow. We are looking for someone who understands current culture, can cast a vision, inspire the team and lead by example.

Applicants for the post must be professing Christians* willing to uphold our Christian ethos, working principles and vision. A full current driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential as the role necessitates travel throughout Scotland.
