We currently have a vacancy for a Cook at Lendrick Muir. Lendrick Muir (near Kinross) is set in 120 acres with accommodation for 150 guests which regularly include school residential experiences and youth group weekends. We offer a range of outdoor activities to our guests, such as climbing, mountain biking, crate climbing, football and adventure golf.
Working as part of the Catering team, you will assist the Manager in staff supervision and ordering within budget as well as fulfilling all catering requirements of the Centre including preparation, cooking and baking and service for school groups, weekend groups and various meetings/functions. In addition, the role will include cleaning and maintaining kitchens to a high standard and induction of self-catered groups.
Applicants for this post should have experience in catering and be able to work on their own initiative. You will most likely have undergone some catering training, hold food hygiene certification and have worked in the hospitality industry, but this is not essential.
Regular contracted hours will be dependent on your availability and will include some weekend working.
For this post, it is important that you are committed to SU Scotland’s ethos, working principles and vision and are able to demonstrate this through your commitment and motivation. It is also an Occupational Requirement (Equality Act - part 1, schedule 9), that the post-holder is a committed Christian.
The successful applicant will be required to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Scheme and the appointment will be subject to a satisfactory PVG Scheme Disclosure.
