Who we are:

Scripture Union Scotland is a national charity, with 120 staff and 2,000 volunteers. Our vision is to see every child and young person of Scotland exploring the Bible and responding to the significance of Jesus.

We are seeking to recruit a Young Leaders' Development Lead to join our team and help to develop and grow all aspects of our young leader programmes.

Purpose

Reporting to our Director of Development and Holidays, this role involves leading a cross departmental approach to training and discipleship in relation to young people. This will involve working with a wide range of colleagues to ensure opportunities for intentional discipleship continue to grow and develop in all aspects of SU Scotland's ministry.

Who we are looking for:

You will have a passion to see young people grow in discipleship and leadership and an ability to share Biblical truth in a compelling and engaging way. You will be able to communicate confidently and ideally have experience of envisioning, training and supporting volunteers.

For this post, it is important that you are committed to SU Scotland’s ethos, working principles and vision and can demonstrate this through your commitment and motivation.

It is also an Occupational Requirement (Equality Act - part 1, schedule 9), that the post-holder is a committed Christian.
