We're going on a Bear Huntis a two hour outdoor activity event which includes a hands-on nature trail, storytimes and activities and indoor refreshments.

Our bear hunt is a great way to explore the outdoors with your nursery in a safe environment. We have 2 'story journeys' for you to choose from:

• We're going on a bear hunt (Michael Rosen & Helen Oxenbury)
• Where's my teddy? (Jez Alborough)

As we walk we will collect leaves and other exciting things for teddy art. Be prepared for our winter programme. We ask that children come with wellies, warm outdoor coat, hat and gloves.

At the end of the bear hunt nursery children will have:
1. listened and responded to a story
2. experienced a healthy walk in the outdoors
3. expressed their experiences through art and play

SU Scotland's educational activity programme is being developed to meet the needs of nursery classes who want to enjoy the classroom outdoors as set out in 'A Curriculum for Excellence'. Our woodland trail takes place in birch and conifer woodland and bog and we give children an opportunity to experience life around them...with lots of fun and stories in between. Experienced staff will work with you to provide the best possible programme.

For full details of the programme please download the flyer.
