For thousands of children and young people right here in Scotland, the Christian Faith is an unknown quantity. Many have never heard the Gospel relevantly explained, opened a Bible or gone near a church or Christian group. Their need is great. The task of presenting the Gospel to this generation is a challenging one.

Is this for me?
These are some of the qualities we're looking for...
- A desire to work with children and young people; to share in activities with them; care for them; and get to know them
- An ability to work as part of a team
- A willingness to learn through training and experience
- Only committed Christians in sympathy with SU's Basis of Faith will be accepted onto LDP
Cost
LDP is heavily subsidised by SU. We are well aware of the financial challenges faced by students, yet we recognise that we need 'time-rich' volunteers to make our events happen. Please don't let a shortage of money discourage you from considering LDP. We are happy to accept whatever contribution you feel you can afford.
The cost of the Lead-Up week is £95, and £42 for the review weekend. Along with the other team members, we would also encourage you to contribute as you are able to the cost of the holiday events you attend . We will give you more details once your programme is arranged.
