International Opportunities
An opportunity to serve in the Ukraine
Would you like to join a small team from Scotland going to the Ukraine from 8th - 23rd July 2011?
Two weeks of cross cultural experience, leadership training, personal and spiritual development, team building and the opportunity to work with children. These two weeks will be challenging but undoubtedly hugely rewarding. The first week will be based at SU's campsite "Vorzel" for a week of training, Bible teaching, planning and a wee bit of sight seeing. Following that you will go to another location where you will be taking part in mission with children and young people by either running a holiday club or camp.
This is an opportunity not to be missed and it may be for you if you are 16+, in either S5 or S6 or a student. We'd love to hear from you soon and hope to have the team in place by the middle of March.

Frontline Summer Team
Ready to step out of your comfort zone? It'll be
life-changing!
Here's the challenge: submerge yourself in another culture for an
adventure lasting up to three weeks, engaged in God's work among
children and young people in Europe.
You may find the whole experience involves depending on God's
strength rather than your own abilities - and that's
character-building!
If you're over 16 and want to do something different and
meaningful with your summer, then a Frontline mission team could be
for you.
You could be organising Bible discovery sessions for teenagers or
leading craft activities for children in Romania. Or teaching
English in Hungary. Or organising games and sports and caring for
children on camp in Slovakia or Ukraine.
It's guaranteed to be hard work - but also great fun. And there
will be free time with opportunities for sightseeing to add to the
enriching experiences of your stay. Click here to find out more.
Special Mission - Working with a residential centre near St Petersburg.
Would you consider joining a small team to undertake some plumbing work (installing central heating radiators linked to a wood-burning boiler) at a residential centre near St Petersburg?
The dates are approximately ten days in September and the aim is to work for a week and have one day in St Petersburg, plus the two travel days.
Fares from Scotland are about £350 at the moment, and you would need to make another allowance of £150 for food and local costs. The Russian visa costs about £120.
For further information, please contact Ivor King - beatriceivor@hotmail.com. Ivor was with a team that did some other plumbing and electrical work at the centre two years ago.
