How it all works

COmMISSION 2012 is a mission programme designed to help you develop the skills you need to get involved as a volunteer in Christian children's and youth work in Scotland.

We've designed the programme to include:

COmMISSON Training:

Attend a weekend or a full week to equip you for mission.  Bible teaching, workshops, team building, small groups and prayer will help prepare you to work amongst Scotland's children and young people.

COmMISSION Action:

Join teams at SU Holidays or church based Mission weeks at Easter or summer.

COmMISSION Review:

Come together to reflect on your summer and share stories of how you have seen God at work with children and young people as well as with yourself.  Discover what God may have next for your...We'd like to hear from you because we believe that together, we can make a difference.

Support-raising

The total cost of being part of the whole COmMISSION programme, including a training event, at least one placement and the review weekend, will be between £350-£500.  We ask you to raise £250 as a contribution towards these costs.  A pack is available to help you raise support from friends, family or your local church.  We can even offer a personalised online donation webpage to help you raise the necessary funds.

It may be that you can only attend a training event rather than the entire programme - the contribution for these is £50 for a weekend or £100 for a week.
