"There is something special about Scoughall campsite. The beach, the sea, the sun (in between the showers!) and the sense of it being a safe, good place to be! From the 26th July to the 2nd August I had the privilege to lead camp there for the third year in a row. 51 young people, from P6 - S3, enjoyed a brilliant holiday looked after carefully by a team of 30 volunteers, who gave up their holiday time to serve God on the East Coast of Scotland. We laughed, sang, learned, chatted, power boated, go karted, swam and just enjoyed being together. The highlight for me was the prayer pit - a little atmospherically decorated area of camp with cushions and pinboards, and a different theme everyday to help us spend time with God. It was beautiful to read some of the prayers the young people wrote - about their concerns, their fears, their gratitude. A couple of groups also had a "mobile" pray pit! They stopped on the way up and down Berwick Law and spent time with their creator, thanking Him for His care, and praying for those who cared for them. God is good! Please pray for all these young people that they would know God with them in all the turns and twists of the days that lie ahead."
