SU Scotland Appeals Policy Statement

Scripture Union Scotland is committed to an appeals policy where we will not approach supporters on our mailing list with a request for funding more than three times each calendar year.

We thought it would be useful for you, our supporters and potential supporters, to understand how this will work:

During January or February you will receive a regional appeal

This will be a local appeal, targeted at the work in your region. In January 2005 we wrote to everyone across Scotland and raised over £46,000; we will be writing to you again in February 2006. If you choose to support the Regional Staff Worker Appeal, your funds will be used in the area of your choice.

During May you will recieve a Camp Sponsorship appeal

Each year many young people are able to attend camp because of generous sponsorship from churches and individuals. This fund is also used to contribute to the cost of supporting team members where necessary. This annual appeal continues as in previous years. In 2005, the appeal raised almost £67,000.

In October or November we may write to you again if there is a particular project which needs funding

In 2005 we asked for your support with raising funds for SU's new Youth Website. There was an amazing response and around £75,000 was raised!

Making a donation
