Scripture Union Scotland has recently launched the 2008 Holidays Sponsorship Appeal.
We make this appeal every year for two reasons:
• There are many children and young people who still cannot afford to go to SU camp (or any holiday) unless we provide substantial sponsorship. (Our holidays, in order to be competitively priced, run at a loss.) For many youngsters, this is their only holiday during the year.
• The logistics of staffing these holidays mean that we require a small army of committed volunteers to serve and lead young people. They give sacrificially of their time, energy and effort, and also provide financial contributions towards holiday expenses. However, many are not in a position to do so and we need your help to make up the shortfall.
