Motiv8 Holidays
Introduction
Motiv8 Holidays are for children and young people from priority
areas (communities significantly affected by poverty.) In
2009 nearly 140 young people went on a Motiv8 holiday and we are
planning seven Motiv8 holidays for 2010.
Motiv8 Holidays can be life changing weeks; not just for the
campers, but also for the leaders! Some children have never seen
the countryside; have never known what it's liked to be looked
after without being shouted at; have not heard about Our gracious
God.
Comments such as "This has been the best week of my
life!" are not uncommon. Read stories about
how God is using Motiv8 holidays to change lives.
So what's the big difference?
Motiv8 Holidays differ in four main areas from other SU Holidays:
- Children and young people are referred by Motiv8 Holiday Referrers
- Referrers send adults the children already know to be part of the team.
- There is a higher adult/child ratio than other S.U holidays (2 adults to 5 children)
- Team arrive at least a day before the children to be trained on how to work with children from priority areas.
How can you get involved in Motiv8 Holidays?
There are four ways to get involved in Motiv8 Holidays.
