Over the years, aspects of our work in local schools have grown into larger, community-based projects with more opportunity to influence lives.
Junction 12 is a youth project based in the East End of Glasgow established as a charity separate from SU Scotland. The project aims to establish and develop caring and nurturing relationships with young people aged 10–18 in Carntyne, Cranhill and Riddrie, enabling them to make positive and healthy choices in every area of their lives.
J12 employs two full time workers, aided by a group of committed volunteers who willingly give their time and energy to the work and witness of J12.
The project offers a range of activities for local young people within the schools and community. Working in partnership with local churches, Junction 12's weekly activities include drop ins, emotional and behavioural support groups, SU Groups and outings, detached work and annual residential events.

Discipleship In Muirhouse Estate (DIME) is a volunteer-led project in Edinburgh which has pioneered work with young people in Pilton and Muirhouse for over ten years. The work, which started in local primary schools, has grown to regular Thursday evening meetings for different age groups of young people. These groups have presented many opportunities to build significant relationship with those living in the nearby estates helping them make better life choices.
Young people from DIME regularly attend Motiv8 Holidays as well as going away on weekend breaks.
