Independent Schools

Introduction

One of SU Scotland's regional workers has the specific remit of visiting Independent Schools across the country as well as various other Regional and Associate staff who visit their local Independent Schools.

The IS sector educates approximately 5% of Scotland's pupils and includes large boarding schools, well-established high schools and prep schools and Christian schools of various sizes.

Like other regional workers, our staff support the leaders of SU and other groups, take part in assemblies and chapel services make classroom contributions as requested and lead weekend programmes.

Our key volunteer support comes from the Independent Schools and Edinburgh Action Groups and the IS Prayer Groups in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
