East Glasgow

Introduction

As SU Scotland's GO Project Worker in Glasgow's East End, I work in the east of the city of Glasgow. The East Area covers Dennistoun to Easterhouse; Bridgeton to Baillieston; as far North as Springburn; and south to Carmyle.  It is in these areas that I want to enable SU to be a resource to anyone working with children and young people for Jesus.

My vision for the East is that by working with individuals, schools, churches and young people we can support and establish SU groups in schools and, by providing a programme of residential weekends, help build deeper relationships within and between groups, and help young people in a deeper exploration of God.

The aim is to resource and equip local people to be a Christian witness in their school and community, and for this to work we need local people, like you...

I would love to work with you if:

• You would like to start a Christian group in or associated with your school;
• You run a Christian group but would like to do more with them;
• You are a church that is looking to reach out to young people in your community;
• You are a chaplain and would like to work with us in the delivery of Religious Observation assemblies;
• Your school would like to set up a Christian group or would like help with an assembly or class work.
