Glasgow Outreach Project
The GO Project aims to deliver Scripture Union Scotland's vision to see the children and young people of Scotland exploring the Bible and responding to the significance of Jesus across the City of Glasgow.
The GO team is led by Ken Coulter (Project Leader and South Area Worker) with the support of David Clipston (East Area Worker), Adrienne Cartwright (Independent Schools), Kathryn Campbell (Associate Worker with the Wheel Trust, based in the West End), Gillian Macfarlane (Trainee Schools Worker) and Jacqui McMahon (Local Area Worker), along with many volunteers.
This vision is being delivered as the team work towards the following goals:
- growing the number of schools with a vibrant Christian witness;
- providing holiday and weekend breaks for hundreds of children every year;
- encouraging prayer for each school in Glasgow - through Pray for Schools Scotland;
- developing future Christian leaders;
- equipping young people to share their faith effectively;
Currently, the GO Project is supporting and resourcing Christian activity in 10 of the 18 learning zones across Glasgow. As it relies on willing volunteers and supporters to fulfil this vision, there is always a need for more helpers!
If you can help, please contact the project using the details on this page.
