Introduction

Scripture Union Scotland aims to help all the children and young people of Scotland explore and respond to the significance of Jesus Christ for their lives.

We believe that Jesus is for everyone; no exceptions.  However, we live in a culture where many are excluded, or unable to participate in society.  In Scotland today 25% of children are in poverty.  Poverty affects every aspect of child development, and also reduces young people’s opportunities in life.

SU Scotland is committed to reaching children and young people from deprived backgrounds with God’s love.  We do this through Motiv8 Schools, through Motiv8 Holidays, providing Motiv8 Training for churches and volunteers working with vulnerable young people and finally, in Prayer.  

Children and young people from deprived backgrounds are often searching to make sense of life, and the difficulties they face on a daily basis.  Could you be part of the answer to show them a different way; to show them Jesus?
