Volunteer with SU Scotland

Volunteers are crucial to SU Scotland's ministry and we currently have over 2,000 people volunteer every year. We're always looking for more volunteers as this allows us to reach more children and young people. Below are some ideas for how you could volunteer:

Burdiehouse 018

>> SU groups

Can you give several hours a week to help or lead an SU group near you? If there's not one in your local school, why not start one?

>> Holiday volunteers

Throughout the year we need team members, cooks and travel leaders for SU Holidays and Motiv8 holidays (Easter, summer and October) and for regional weekends away (termtime).

If you'd like to lead activities at an event we also offer training.

>> Summer support crew

Alongside Lendrick Muir and Alltnacriche, we have several sites across Scotland that are only used during the school holidays for camps. While camps are on we need volunteers to stay onsite and look after the grounds and buildings.

>> Missions

Most mission teams are made up of members of the local church and volunteers from SU Scotland.

>> Volunteer at local evening and weekend events

All of our regional staff run local events during the evenings and weekends such as cafes and worship nights, and volunteers are always welcome to help.

Contact your Regional Worker to find out more...

events>> Events team

Would you like to represent SU Scotland at exhibitions and events? We have a team of energetic volunteers who love sharing the ministry of SU Scotland with others.

>> Use your skills

Do you have skills and gifts that could be used for SU Scotland's ministry? Could you help out with event photography, video editing, office admin? We're always interested to hear from you if you'd like to help.

moneyGive to SU Scotland

SU Scotland's ministry relies on financial gifts from supporters. There are several ways to give, and you can specify which area of ministry your gift goes to:

Online donations can be made here.

To make a donation by phone please call (0)141 352 7628 between 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

Cheque donations can be made by Post - please send to Finance Department, Scripture Union Scotland, 70 Milton Street, Glasgow, G4 0HR

You can give regularly to SU Scotland by setting up a standing order to pay a set amount each month, quarter or year. Regular giving is especially valuable as it allows us to plan ahead.
