Seasonal Activities Instructor

Scripture Union Scotland is a registered charity that helps all of Scotland's children and young people explore the significance of Jesus Christ for their lives. We currently have a vacancy for an Activities Instructor to be based at our Lendrick Muir Centre, near Kinross. Lendrick Muir is set in 120 acres of grounds with accommodation for 150 guests.
Working as part of the staff team you will deliver the range of activities being offered by the centre. You will provide activity instruction and maintain the activity equipment and infrastructure. Working with the Activities Manager you will help to develop the range and quality of activities we offer.
Applicants for this post should have at least 2 years experience of instructing activities and hold two NGB Awards (one of which must be SPA) as well as holding a current first aid certificate. Further NGB awards in the following would be beneficial: canoeing (open boat or kayak), mountain biking, hill-walking, dinghy sailing and windsurfing. A full UK Driving Licence is essential (preferably with D1 + E).
For this post, it is important that you are committed to SU Scotland's ethos, working principles and vision and are able to demonstrate this through your commitment and motivation. It is also a Genuine Occupational Requirement, in terms of the Employment Equality (Religion or Belief) Regulations 2003, that the post-holder demonstrates a personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
The successful applicant will be required to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Scheme and the appointment will be subject to a satisfactory PVG Scheme Disclosure.
